2B-BLUE & Stakeholders meeting on marine biological resources
The second French Transformative laboratory, held in Montpellier on January 20th, brought together marine sector stakeholders to exchange of ideas about marine biological resources and blue biotechnology. After an introduction to the objectives of the 2B-BLUE project, the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) selected through the project’s call for expressions of interest presented their innovative solutions.
The event also provided an opportunity to introduce the 2B-BLUE mapping tool, which will help the project leaders better understand and connect with the sector. Ifremer showcased the Celimer platform, a space designed to support collaboration between public institutions and private companies, located in Sète, Occitania. Pôle Mer Méditerranée also presented European funding opportunities in the fields of blue biotechnology and innovative aquaculture.
This second French T-Lab helped raise the visibility of the skills and activities of the participating SMEs. The event brought together a diverse group of participants, including companies, public authorities, researchers and academics. Discussions were lively and inclusive, reflecting different perspectives and supported by dedicated discussion sessions. Participants highlighted both the value of collaboration and the challenges involved in making it work in practice.
