Interreg Euro-MED - 2B-BLUE
Human health, food and energy security, and environmental sustainability are challenges that require innovative solutions. Many of these can be found in the study and exploitation of marine and freshwater resources, also known as Blue Biotechnologies. However, their development in Europe is still in its infancy.
2B-BLUE fosters innovation through 5 interactive Blue Biotechnology Hubs that facilitate collaboration, know-how transfer and innovation across the Mediterranean. The project supports public-private cooperation, training and scientific activities. Through its new Transfer Phase, 2B-BLUE will transfer and embed mature solutions and tools into new territories, promoting their adoption and ensuring that project results continue to generate impact beyond the testing phase.

- Establish strategic alliances of 5-helix stakeholders for the uptake of advanced blue biotechnologies by Med industries and
- Improve regional policies for enhancing sustainability, research and innovation capacities in Euro-Med area.
