2B-BLUE partners CNR‑IRBIM and NIB participate in AquaFarm/AlgaeFarm 2026
The National Research Institute – Institute for Biological Resources and Marine Biotechnologies (CNR‑IRBIM) and the National Insititute of Biology (NIB) took part in AquaFarm/AlgaeFarm 2026, the most important Italian event dedicated to aquaculture, algal production, shellfish farming and sustainable blue technologies. Held annually in Pordenone, the fair brings together companies, research organizations, startups, technology providers and institutions operating across the aquaculture and algae sectors.
During the event, both 2B-BLUE partners engaged in discussions at exhibition stands, technical demonstrations and other initiatives of interest for the 2B‑BLUE project, including innovative approaches to algae cultivation, Integrated Multi‑Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA), water‑quality monitoring tools and advanced solutions emerging from the blue‑biotech sector. The fair also offered the opportunity for 2B-BLUE partners to exchange insights on key topics such as biomass valorization and sustainable biotechnologies in the Mediterranean region.
