Second Italian Transformative Laboratory Announced

On November 27th, 2025, the 2B-BLUE project will host its 2nd Italian T-Lab in La Spezia (Liguria Region), in particular on ENEA pilot, within Smart Bay Santa Teresa event, funded by National Project RAISE (https://www.raiseliguria.it/en/).

Smart Bay Santa Teresa is a cooperation platform involving research institutes, local stakeholders and administrations, located in the Gulf of La Spezia (https://smartbaysteresa.com/en/). Smart Bay Santa Teresa represents a natural laboratory where applied research, biodiversity protection, sustainable production, and local administrations collaborate to generate knowledge and projects aiming to protect natural resources to contrast climate change. Thanks to the National Recovery and Resilient Plan (PNRR), Smart Bay Santa Teresa empowered its underwater observatory that has been equipped with advanced sensors, a IouT (Internet of Underwater Technology) network and included in European research infrastructures and networks (EMBRC, LTER).

The event is promoted by ENEA, in collaboration with Genova University, Porth Authority of Eastern Ligurian Sea, with technical support of ISIG (https://isig.it/?lang=en), and it will involve local actors, including governance, Military partners, Parks, Universities and Research Institutes, national representative of EU networks, local stakeholder and companies working on marine technology sectors.

The event will be an opportunity for an open dialogue between institutions, research organizations, local communities, schools, and businesses, aiming to share results, visions, and perspectives.
