Tirana, Albania, March 12, 2025. Meeting with the Associated Partner about the preparation phase and future steps of Piloting in the Bay of Vlora (Albania)
On March 12, 2025, an online meeting was organised between representatives of Albanian Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development (ACEPSD), Albanian Development Fund (ADF) and the Albanian associated partner (Alb-Adriatico 2013) in the 2B-BLUE EURO-Med Interreg Project. The associated partner was informed by the project partners about the status of the project and the expected results. Briefly, Mr. Rigers Bakiu explained the Integrated Multitrophic Aquaculture as a new Blue Biotechnology to be implemented in Vlora Bay and used as a Demonstration Site (DS). The associated partner representative fully agreed with the concept and the added value this technology can create in the Bay of Vlora. With the promise of creating a private-private joint research unit in the next event in Vlora, the organisations created a list of tasks related to the piloting activity in Albania.
