France, November 26, 2024. First transformative 2B-BLUE laboratory in France online organised by Pôle Mer Méditerranée and IFREMER.
Fifty-one participants gathered for the first online T-Lab to discuss public-private partnerships for advancing blue biotechnology projects and innovations. The event featured a roundtable with representatives of existing mechanisms and experts who shared their approaches and visions. The concept of the 2B-Blue pilot actions was presented and discussed as a means to support these initiatives in the French regions of Occitanie and Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
These discussions and presentations culminated in the identification of several actions to be implemented. These include strategies for collaboration leveraging existing mechanisms and platforms, as well as targeting specific value chains to be prioritized in the forthcoming pilot projects.
